Disney’s BRAVE: Brave Trailer

Um…okay. Alice doesn’t marry Hamish or whatever his name is, because she doesn’t want to be with him. Why should Alice be forced into a marriage she doesn’t want? It is your duty, Alice, as a woman in this society to marry this man, and bear him a child, even though you don’t love him.

Also, I really doubt the hidden message in this movie is to: “Forget about Family, focus only on YOURSELF, and your work!” I really like to believe it is about Family, but at the same time, to not be afraid to step out of the box and be your own person.

They forgot to add that woman aren’t supposed to leave the kitchen, have free wills, and are supposed to listen to their husbands at all times.

Oh, wow. Where to begin…I think I will just stick with this thought: women who choose “themselves” and “their career” over having a family ARE ALLOWED TO DO SO. Just because you were born with female genitalia does NOT mean that you have to have a family. Some women would rather have a successful career than have children and there is nothing wrong with that.

• (I work in a Coffee Shop. I was on break in the lobby when a couple walks in. Directly behind them is a cute little boy in Batman costume.)
• Me: “Oh my God! It’s BATMAN!”
• (The boy stops, strikes a pose and starts looking around menacingly. After a few seconds, he approaches the counter.)
• Mother: “Jeff, would you like a chocolate milk?”
• Boy: “I am not Jeff. I am The Batman.”
• Mother: “The Batman, would you like a chocolate milk?”
• Boy: “Yes. Yes, The Batman would.”
• (The couple pays while the boy sits down with his chocolate milk. He keeps a stern look on his face as he sips the drink.)
• Boy: *sips* “Gotham is safe.”
• This will be my future child.
